Yes. Alterations are done in the shop. No appointment needed: come in any time the shop is open to be measured and pinned, from a pant hem to a full suit refit.
Do you clean hats and sneakers?
Yes, and plenty of them. Hats, sneakers and boots are cleaned here all the time, UGGs included.
Can a wedding gown be cleaned and preserved?
Yes. Gowns are cleaned with care and preserved so they keep their color and shape. Bring it in soon after the wedding.
Do you clean leather, suede and fur?
Yes. Leather and suede jackets, coats and fur are cleaned with methods made for each material.

The store opened in Throggs Neck in 1964 under the One Hour Martinizing sign, and most of the family worked behind the counter at one time or another. Today Vinny Zeppieri and his sons, Vinny Jr. and Nick, run it as American Cleaners & Tailors.
